Who the workshops are for

The workshops are intended for adults who want practical, accessible support for wellbeing, participation and healthy ageing. No previous experience or specialist knowledge is needed.

They are designed as general education and community support. They are not clinical services and do not replace care from qualified health professionals.

Accessibility and inclusion

  • Step-free and accessible venue options will be prioritised
  • Information will be provided in clear language and readable formats
  • Participants may request reasonable accessibility support when registering
  • Activities will include options so people can participate in ways that work for them
  • Personal sharing will always be optional

Two local venues and six planned intakes

  • Maleny Neighbourhood Centre: four planned intakes, with up to 20 people in each
  • Crystal Waters EcoCentre: two planned intakes, with up to 20 people in each
  • Each workshop intake will run for 2.5 hours
  • The current plan provides up to 120 participant places across six intakes
  • Dates and final venue arrangements remain subject to grant approval and final agreements

Keeping participation affordable

Sustainable Healthy Living intends to keep workshop costs as low as practical so more local people can take part.

Special rates will be offered for seniors and people with pension concession cards. Final fees and concession details will be published with booking information once funding and arrangements are confirmed.
