Helping practical learning feel safe, useful and local

Future facilitators will help create welcoming learning environments, guide practical activities and connect the program with the character and needs of each community.

What the facilitator role may involve

  • Delivering the Community Vitality curriculum consistently and accessibly
  • Supporting reflection without diagnosing, prescribing or giving personal clinical advice
  • Encouraging respectful discussion and participant choice
  • Adapting examples to local context while protecting core program integrity
  • Supporting evaluation, follow-up and referral to appropriate services when needed

Sustainable Healthy Living Australia Inc. is exploring facilitator education with the Australian College of Vital Health. Details, requirements and recognition arrangements will be published only when formally confirmed.

No facilitator certificate is represented as a nationally recognised training qualification or Australian Qualifications Framework qualification unless and until the relevant formal approvals are in place.
